Aion's Triniel server has had a strong alliance form on the Asmodian side.  The alliance was created from the ashes of a small and, ultimately, unsuccessful alliance of four guilds: Aesir, Defiance, Tenebrarum, and TROIKA.  Defiance quit playing Aion, and TOIKA simply vanished, leaving only Aesir and Tenebrarum, which are both highly ranked guilds in Aion.

In late December, the Elyos started taking over the Abyss... Cazzmaran decided to contact the GMs of all the top 25 ranked guilds to form an alliance to stop the Elyos threat [thread here].  With time, it became clear that most Asmodians were very interested in forming a strong alliance.  Within five days of the alliance being formed (Wednesday to Sunday), the Abyss had shifted from 4 Elyos:1 Asmo:4 Balaur forts to 0 Elyos:7 Asmo:2 Balaur forts, which is a very significant achievement.  This alliance takes credit for that sway, although there were other guilds that heavily influenced our ability to control the Abyss.

All of these guilds are well known and have a strong core of PVPers.
